Uttar Pradesh has an online portal for electrical licensing:
Step 1: Visit the Official Portal Go to the Nivesh Mitra or UP Electrical Safety Portal to apply for an electrical contractor license online.
Step 2: Create Login Register using your name, mobile number, email ID, Aadhaar, and firm details (if applicable). Verify using OTP.
Step 3: Choose License Type Select Class A, B, or C based on your qualification, experience, and scope of work.
Step 4: Fill Application Form Enter personal details, technical qualifications, experience, supervisor details, and manpower information.
Step 5: Upload Documents Upload scanned copies of certificates, ID proof, photos, firm registration, and supervisor documents.
Step 6: Pay License Fee Pay the required fee online using net banking, card, or UPI and download the receipt.
Step 7: Verification The Electrical Inspector reviews documents and may conduct physical or equipment verification.
Step 8: License Issuance After approval, download your Electrical Contractor License from the portal. The license is usually valid for one year.
One-time registration and or renewal Fee for electrical contractor license varies from class to class, along with some additional charges if needed during the application process.
